The GESIS Data Catalogue in version 2.0 may document identifiers of related objects (Related IDs) for a study.

Further Information about Related IDs

The description of identifiers of related objects (Related IDs) for a study followes the specification of the DataCite Metadata Schema (Starr et. al 2013). The following information is displayed by the DBK, if available:

RelatedIdentifier

Identifier of the related resource. It must be globally unique, thus the relatedIdentifierType is restricted to controlled list values.

relatedIdentifierType

The type of the RelatedIdentifier. relatedIdentifierType is mandatory. Controlled List Values: ARK DOI EAN13 EISSN Handle ISBN ISSN ISTC LISSN LSID PMID PURL UPC URL URN

VersionNumber

Number of the version of the study to which the relatedIdentifier is attached to (optional).

relationType

Description of the relationship of the study and the related resource. relationType is mandatory. Controlled List Values: IsCitedBy Cites IsSupplementTo IsSupplementedBy IsContinuedBy Continues HasMetadata IsMetadataFor IsNewVersionOf IsPreviousVersionOf IsPartOf HasPart IsReferencedBy References IsDocumentedBy Documents IsCompiledBy Compiles IsVariantFormOf IsOriginalFormOf IsIdenticalTo

relatedMetadataScheme

The name of the scheme. Used only with the relations HasMetadata or IsMetadataFor.

schemeURI

The URI of the relatedMetadataScheme. Used only with the relations HasMetadata or IsMetadataFor.

schemeType

The type of the relatedMetadataScheme, linked with the schemeURI. Used only with the relations HasMetadata or IsMetadataFor.
