AbstractSatisfaction with the representation of the European Commission in selected EU member states. Topics: EU image; most important elements with regard to forming personal image of the EU; interest in EU-related information; assessment of personal access to information on the EU as easy; preferred sources of information about the European Union, its policies and institutions; awareness of the representation of the European Commission in the own country; first information about the representation of the European Commission in the own country: Europe Direct freephone call centre, national public authority, article, event, TV or radio programme, acquaintance, directory; contact with the representation of the European Commission in the own country; frequency of contact in the last two years; reasons for using the services: general information, specific question; satisfaction with each of the following services: website, documentation service, online publication service, press releases, available directories, telephone information service, information service on EU law (Eurojus), information bulletin, information points; satisfaction with each of the following services: reception services, press service, information and documentation service, technical and professional staff competences, service timeline, information quality; satisfaction with contacts; assumed future use of the services; desired additional activities of the representation: provision of leaflets about EU in general, provision of leaflets about specific policies, provision of tailored information about the EU, organisation of events, provision of speakers, provision of teaching materials, provision of illustrations, organisation of information sessions on specific policies; issues to be prioritized: more official press releases in own language, wider list of official contacts, regularly updated list of contacts, more publications on website, more events, weekly information bulletin; desire for additional information on: EU countries and citizens, euro, enlargement, citizens’ rights, way EU institutions work; desire for additional information on the following policies: foreign policy, European Internal Market, employment, agriculture and fisheries, development aid, environment and nuclear safety, science, regional policy, education and youth, TV and cinema, culture, consumer policy, social and health policy; satisfaction with the representation of the European Commission in the own country; development of service quality in the last two years; awareness of the representation of the European Commission in the own country; expected development of the awareness of the representation of the European Commission in the own country.   •  EB - Flash Eurobarometer
    The Flash Eurobarometer were launched by the European Commission in the late eighties, turning out a Monthly Monitor between in 1994 and 1995. These “small scale” surveys are conducted in all EU member states at times, occasionally reducing or enlarging the scope of countries as a function of specific topics. The typical sample size is 500-1000 respondents per country and interviews are usually conducted by phone in the respective national language. The Flash Eurobarometer include series on special topics (Common Currency, EU Enlargement, Information Society, Entrepreneurship, Innovation) as well as special target group polls, particularly company managers with enterprise related topics.
