Topics: Attitude to membership of the country in the European Union and assessment of the advantageousness of this membership; satisfaction with democracy; approval of military intervention by the European Community in the Yugoslavia conflict; approval of selected political, economic and military measures of the EU together with the UN and NATO in former Yugoslavia; attitude to elimination of border checks in Europe; knowledge about the white book of the EC Commission on growth, competitive ability and employment; expected effects of this white book; age at conclusion of school or university education; party preference (Sunday question).

Further Flash Eurobarometers are archived under ZA Study Nos. 2330, 2362 to 2365 as well as 2401 and 2402.   •  EB - Flash Eurobarometer
    The Flash Eurobarometer were launched by the European Commission in the late eighties, turning out a Monthly Monitor between in 1994 and 1995. These “small scale” surveys are conducted in all EU member states at times, occasionally reducing or enlarging the scope of countries as a function of specific topics. The typical sample size is 500-1000 respondents per country and interviews are usually conducted by phone in the respective national language. The Flash Eurobarometer include series on special topics (Common Currency, EU Enlargement, Information Society, Entrepreneurship, Innovation) as well as special target group polls, particularly company managers with enterprise related topics.
