      Errata in current version
2013-11-13Programm error: kp3_221a-i (Consideration Set)At the beginning of the survey filter criteria in variable kp3_221a-i didn´t worked. In general, respondents should tell how likely they would vote other parties than those they already mentioned. Those parties were supposed to be not shown. Unfortunatly, 46 respondents faced their chosen parties. Further information can be found in kp3_info1.
2013-11-13Cut open answersDue to the transformation into a STATA File ".dta", all open answers (kp3_840s, kp3_860s, kp3_4230s, kp3_4270s) were cut to 244 characters. Thus, we strongly recommend to use SPSS datasets for anlysis of open answers only.

      2015-1-26 Release3-0-0 doi:10.4232/1.12164
      Changes in this version
2015-1-27The coding of “kp3_260” (Reasons for voting desicions) was adjusted to the coding used in 2009.2015-1-27
2015-1-27Due to a better comparability several variables were renamed. If the wording and the answer options differ, but have the same variable name as in 2009, the variable was given a new name. If the questions were collected totally equal but had erroneously different variablenames, they have been renamed into the version of 2009. See study description.2015-1-27
2015-1-27Suffixes of the variables "kp3_650" and "kp3_261" were adjusted to their use in 2009. 2015-1-27
      2015-1-27The data quality indicators “kp3_itnrp”, “kp3_strl”, “kp3_mtime”, “kp3_mtimex” and “kp3_dokn” were added to the data set.2015-1-27
2015-1-27The dataset and questionnaire are now also available in English.2015-1-27

      • German Longitudinal Election Study (GLES)
The German Longitudinal Election Study (GLES) is a DFG-funded project which made its debut just prior to the 2009 federal election. GLES is the largest and most ambitious election study held so far in Germany. Although the initial mandate is to examine and analyse the electorate for three consecutive elections, the aspired goal is to integrate the project within GESIS as an institutionalized election study after the federal election of 2017, and hence to make it a permanent study.
