NotesThe survey was designed as a three-wave panel. The survey of households was conducted in all three waves with an identical questionnaire. And the questionnaire contents differed only marginally for the individual sub-groups of cable households and non-cable households as well as the Nullerhebung {null survey}. The survey areas differ according to cable areas and control areas. The following belonged to the cable area: as municipal area Ludwigshafen- Mundenheim, as rural areas Dudenhofen, Fussgoenheim and Ruchheim. In these areas in the first wave 1069 persons as well as 478 households were interviewed, in the second wave 943 persons as well as 427 households, and in the third wave 823 persons as well as 399 households. The following belonged to the control area: as municipal area Mannheim- Kaefertal, and as rural areas Altlussheim and Huettenfeld. In these areas in the first wave 586 persons as well as 271 households were interviewed, in the second wave 511 persons as well as 243 households and in the third wave 442 persons and 224 households.
