NotesThe study is part of an omnibus survey. The Flash Eurobarometers are short interviews, introduced between the semi-annual Eurobarometers and taking up current European topics. Further Flash Eurobarometers are archived under ZA Study Nos. 2330, 2362 to 2365 as well as 2401, 2402, 2457, 2458, 2470, 2471, 2482 and 2483. The total number of respondents in the data set is distributed among the individual countries as follows: Belgium 531 cases, Denmark 514 cases, Federal Republic of Germany (West) 497 cases, Federal Republic of Germany (East) 508 cases, Greece 500 cases, Spain 501 cases, France 447 cases, Ireland 501 cases, Italy 536 cases, Luxembourg 501 cases, Netherlands 503 cases, Portugal 500 cases, United Kingdom 520 cases. A cumulated data set of the semi-annual Eurobarometers (1973-1992) is archived under ZA Study No. 2533.

  •  EB - Flash Eurobarometer
    The Flash Eurobarometer were launched by the European Commission in the late eighties, turning out a Monthly Monitor between in 1994 and 1995. These “small scale” surveys are conducted in all EU member states at times, occasionally reducing or enlarging the scope of countries as a function of specific topics. The typical sample size is 500-1000 respondents per country and interviews are usually conducted by phone in the respective national language. The Flash Eurobarometer include series on special topics (Common Currency, EU Enlargement, Information Society, Entrepreneurship, Innovation) as well as special target group polls, particularly company managers with enterprise related topics.
