Further Remarks

NotesThe dataset at hand is an outdated version of the Integrated EVS/WVS values surveys. Since 2011 two separate longitudinal data files are offered by EVS and WVS including the waves 1981-1984, 1989-1993, 1994-1999, 1999-2004, 2005-2009, and 2010-2014. Therefore, this dataset version is available for replication only and needs to be requested from the Data Archive staff. The current release of the EVS Longitudinal Data File (ZA4804) is available through the GESIS Data Catalogue. If you additionally want to search for, browse, or analyse the data online, please go to ZACAT where data analyses are available after registration. General information on the EVS waves can be obtained at the EVS web. Up to date versions of the World Values Survey dataset and documentation can be found on the WVS website, section Data and Documentation.

  •  European Values Study (EVS)
The European Values Study 1981-2017 is a large-scale, cross-national and longitudinal survey research program carried out under the responsibility of the European Values Study Foundation. The five EVS waves 1981, 1990, 2008, and 2017 cover a broad range of topics including the main domains of life: work and leisure time, family and sexuality, religion, politics and ethics. The EVS holding includes integrated datasets on every EVS wave and additionally for the waves 1999 and 2008 the national datasets. The current EVS Longitudinal Data File 1981-2008 is based on the four waves and can be easily merged with the World Values Survey 1981-2014 to an Integrated Values Surveys 1981-2014 Data File.
