  •  EB - Central and Eastern Eurobarometer
The Central and Eastern Eurobarometer were conducted on the behalf of the European Commision after the fall of the ´iron curtain´, between 1990 and 1997, in order to monitor the economic and political transition as well as attitudes towards Europe and the European Union in Central and Eastern Europe. For this purpose, representative national samples have annually been drawn in up to 20 countries of the region, covering future applicant or candidate countries and selected former Soviet Republics (CIS). Respondents were interviewed face-to-face in the respective national language. The standard sample size is 1000 respondents per country.
