Topics: Attitude to various countries, the American military, foreign aid, prohibition of nuclear weapons tests, disarmament, the use of force in the Berlin question and race problems in the USA; ideas about East or West orientation of the FRG; judgement on the Soviet and American leadership role as well as foreign and defense policy; agreement of basic interests of the FRG and the USA; trust in NATO and the allies; achievement status and significance of science in the USSR in comparison to the USA in the areas medicine, atomic energy, mathematics, astronomy and space travel; interest in international policy; attitude to the conduct of the Americans in Laos; personal opinion leadership in political questions; party preference. Demography: age (classified); sex; school education; occupation; state. Interviewer rating: social class and willingness of respondent to cooperate; number of contact attempts; city size.
