AbstractPolitical attitudes as well as judgement on parties and politicians in Baden-Wuerttemberg. Topics: First wave: satisfaction with life in Baden-Wuerttemberg; judgement on one´s own and the general economic situation; political interest; importance of political conversations; party preference (ballot procedure and rank order procedure); intent to participate in the state parliament election; certainty of one´s voting decision and reasons for one´s voting decision; voting decision at the last state parliament and Federal Parliament election; personal change in party voted for since 1949; sympathy scale for the political parties in the Federal Republic and the leading state politicians; perceived importance of the composition of state government; satisfaction with the state government and opposition; knowledge about the prime minister and his party affiliation; preference for prime minister; judgement on the importance of an environmental protection party; interest in the election of an environmental protection party and assumed taking seats by such a Green List in the state parliament; self-classification on a left-right continuum; personal party inclination as well as that of family; probability of attending an election event; presence at home in the last few days; self-assessment of social class affiliation; religiousness; union membership. Interviewer rating: type of place of residence; reliability of respondent; date of interview; length of interview. Second wave: most important political problems for the Federal Republic or Baden-Wuerttemberg; issue relevance; issue ability of the parties; preferred influence of the state government opposed to the Federal Government regarding these issues; reasons for one´s own election participation; party preference (ballot procedure) and certainty of voting decision in the state parliament election; most important reasons for the voting decision (scale); profile of characteristics for political parties (semantic differential); preferred measures to improve the school system in Baden-Wuerttemberg (scale); interest in problems of energy supply; attitude to nuclear energy (scale); judgement on the energy supply in the Federal Republic (scale); attitude to youth (scale); party preference at the federal level (Sunday question); importance of election results for oneself; certainty of election participation in the next Federal Parliament election; preference for federal chancellor; undesired federal chancellor; ability of Schmidt and Strauss in coping with an international crisis; judgement on the social-liberal coalition and opposition in Bonn; satisfaction with democracy in the Federal Republic; political interest and personal participation in politics; judgement on one´s own possibilities to exert political influence; complexity of politics; feeling of degree of representation by politicians and parties; type and judgement on personal retirement program; personal unemployment experiences; personal job market chances and unemployment concerns; commuter; residential status; information on activities and ages of children.
