AbstractJudgement on parties and politicians shortly before the state parliament election in Baden-Wuerttemberg. Topics: personal intent to participate in the election or absentee ballot; personal change in party voted for; voting intent; certainty of one´s voting decision; other party one can vote for; election procedure at the last election; party preference (rank order procedure); satisfaction with government and opposition (scale); satisfaction with top candidates of one´s preferred party; sympathy scale for leading politicians in state; attitude to the Greens and FDP in parliament; attitude to an absolute majority of the CDU; preferred government coalition; most important state political topics and their significance for one´s own voting decision; preferred head of government; most active party in election campaign; assumed election winner; assumed taking seats in Parliament by smaller parties; personal intent to participate in a Federal Parliament election and preferred party there (Sunday question); behavior at the polls in the Federal Parliament election in March 1983; satisfaction with the CDU/CSU-FDP coalition in Bonn; social status of residential area. Demography: household size and number of adult persons in household; sex; age; marital status; school degree; employment; occupation; head of household; employment and occupation of head of household; union member; religious denomination; religiousness; party inclination; party identification; characterization of residential area based on social status of neighbors.
