Topics: political interest; intent to participate in the state or Federal Parliament election or absentee ballot; personal change in party voted for; party preference in the state and Federal Parliament election (Sunday question and rank order procedure); behavior at the polls in the last state and Federal Parliament election; certainty of one´s voting decision; satisfaction scale for the state government and opposition parties; satisfaction with the top candidates of one´s preferred party; sympathy scale for the top candidates at state and federal level; assumed probability as well as attitude to the FDP and the Greens taking seats in state parliament; attitude to an absolute majority for one party; preferred government coalition and prime minister; issue relevance and issue ability of the parties; comparison of the economic situation of Lower Saxony with that in the rest of the Federal Republic; assumed health effects of the nuclear power plant accident in Chernobyl; judgement on the information policies of the authorities regarding this accident; attitude to nuclear power plants; assumed conduct of a state government led by CDU or SPD regarding the use of nuclear power; preferred conduct of SPD or Greens in view of a government coalition; judgement on the election campaign activities of party supporters; assumed election winner in the next state parliament election. Demography: age; sex; marital status; religious denomination; frequency of church attendance; school education; occupational position; employment; respondent is head of household; size of household; characteristics of head of household; party inclination; party identification; union membership; number of persons in household 18 years old and older; comparison of personal occupational position or that of husband with that of one´s own father; characterization of residential surroundings according to occupational groups.
