Topics: general attitude to membership of the country in the EU; advantageousness of membership of the country in the EU; satisfaction with democracy; knowledge about the impending government conference of the heads of state; importance of reform decisions of the EU for the citizens of the Union; judgement on the influence of representatives of the country on decisions of the EU; preference for decisions at country level or EU level in the areas defense, environmental protection, currency questions, cooperation with developing countries, public health, education, media, science, value added tax rates, culture policy, foreign policy, work law, immigration policy, policies on asylum, safety at work, fighting unemployment, drug policy, agricultural policy, equal rights of the sexes, consumer protection and support of economically weak regions; party preference (Sunday question).

  •  EB - Flash Eurobarometer
     The Flash Eurobarometer were launched by the European Commission in the late eighties, turning out a Monthly Monitor between in 1994 and 1995. These “small scale” surveys are conducted in all EU member states at times, occasionally reducing or enlarging the scope of countries as a function of specific topics. The typical sample size is 500-1000 respondents per country and interviews are usually conducted by phone in the respective national language. The Flash Eurobarometer include series on special topics (Common Currency, EU Enlargement, Information Society, Entrepreneurship, Innovation) as well as special target group polls, particularly company managers with enterprise related topics.
