AbstractJudgement on parties and politicians in the metropolitan council election. Political questions. Topics: Most important political problems in Hamburg; intent to participate in the metropolitan council election; preference for absentee ballot; party preference; point in time and certainty of one´s voting decision; importance of federal politics for one´s own voting decision at state level; behavior at the polls in the last metropolitan council election; attitude to a one-party government of the SPD in the metropolitan council; coalition preference; sympathy scale for selected parties on federal and city level; satisfaction with achievements of the senate, individual partners of the government, the CDU opposition and the Greens/GAL-opposition as well as the Federal Government (scale); knowledge about the top candidates of the CDU and SPD for the office of mayor; sympathy scale for selected top politicians in Hamburg; interest in politics; preference for Voscherau or Beust as First Mayor in Hamburg; comparison of the credibility, energy, sympathy, sense of responsibility and expertise of the two top politicians; judgement on the personal economic situation and the economic situation in Hamburg; expected economic development in Hamburg and comparison of the economic situation of the city state with the rest of the western federal territory; party in Hamburg most able to improve the economic situation in the area of job creation, the housing market, the fight against crime and traffic policy; personal fear of crime; judgement on the achievements of the First Mayor Voscherau; expected election winner in the metropolitan council election; expectation of a one-party government of the SPD; chances of the FDP, the STATT party and the Republicans in the metropolitan council election.
