Errata in current version
2016-3-15The dynamic filter of "v21a,b" (multiple party identification) could have been used in the online survey only. The Self-directed paper-based survey did not allow for such a filter due to its conduction mode. Thus, independent of the answer given in "v19a,b" all parties in "v21a,b" were able to be selected. Furthermore, because of using CATI software to implement paper-based answers the dynamic filter could not be used in CATI mode, either. Additionally, in CATI participants were able to name the connected parties CDU/CSU seperatly.
2016-3-15The variable "v4a-d" was asked with a reversed scale in the Short-term Campaign Panel 2013 ("kpX_2860a-f"). This should be taken into account in case of merging the data.
2016-3-15Due to data transformation into Stata 12 all strings ("v34s") are cut by 244 characters. For any analysis of the open comments use „ZA5759_v1-0-0_open-ended.xls“ .

  •  German Longitudinal Election Study (GLES)
The German Longitudinal Election Study (GLES) is a DFG-funded project which made its debut just prior to the 2009 federal election. GLES is the largest and most ambitious election study held so far in Germany. Although the initial mandate is to examine and analyse the electorate for three consecutive elections, the aspired goal is to integrate the project within GESIS as an institutionalized election study after the federal election of 2017, and hence to make it a permanent study.
