| Abstract | Knowledge and use of emergency numbers. Topics: use of national emergency numbers or of the international emergency number 112; kind of called emergency numbers in the last twelve months (Split); knowledge of the European Union-wide emergency number 112; perceived information on the emergency number 112 in the last twelve months in the own country; source of the information; perceived information about other emergency numbers in the own country; people in the own country are adequately informed about the existence of the emergency number 112; sufficient action is being taken in the own country to facilitate contact to emergency services via 112 for disabled users; travels to other EU countries in the past twelve months. Demography: age; nationality; sex; age at end of education; occupation, professional position; region; type of community; own a mobile phone and fixed (landline) phone; household composition and household size. Additionally coded was: respondent ID; language of the interview; type of phone line; date of interview; time of the beginning of the interview; duration of the interview; country; weighting factor. |

| Universe | Population of the respective nationalities of the European Union Member States, resident in each of the 27 Member States and aged 15 years and over.
