Topics: intent to participate in state parliament or Federal Parliament election; change in party voted for; party preference (Sunday question, ballot procedure and rank order procedure) at state parliament or Federal Parliament election; certainty of voting decision and behavior at the polls in the last state parliament or Federal Parliament election; sympathy scale for parties at state level; satisfaction with state government or opposition; satisfaction with top candidates of one´s preferred party; sympathy scale for leading state politicians; assumed probability and attitude to the FDP or the Greens taking seats in the state parliament; attitude to an absolute majority for one party; preferred government coalition and prime minister; issue relevance and issue ability of the parties and possible coalitions; judgement on the economic situation in North Rhine-Westphalia in comparison to the rest of the Federal Republic; ability of the state or the federal government or the parties to improve the economic situation of the state; preferred conduct of the SPD or the Greens in view of a government coalition; judgement on the election campaign activities of party supporters; assumed election winner of the state parliament election; personal unemployment or unemployed in household.     The available studies on the German ferderal state elections go back as far as 1962. These studies were conducted for the most part as representative surveys in the run-up to elections of the Landtage, the Bremer Bürgerschaft or the Berliner Abgeordnetenhaus. German Federal State Election studies which were surveyed within the framework of the German Longitudinal Election Study (GLES) are not contained in this group.
