AbstractAttitude to the European currency. Judgement on the conference of the European Council in Dublin Topics: General attitude to membership of the country in the EU; advantageousness of membership of the country in the EU; attitude to a common currency; knowledge about the summit meeting of the European Council in Dublin and the factual questions discussed there; knowledge about the decision on the bank notes of the European currency; acceptance of the final drafts for the EURO bank notes; immediate or later interest in information about possible effects of the new European currency; preference for a rapid or gradual conversion to the common currency; preferred sources of information about the new European currency; party preference (Sunday question).

  •  EB - Flash Eurobarometer
    The Flash Eurobarometer were launched by the European Commission in the late eighties, turning out a Monthly Monitor between in 1994 and 1995. These “small scale” surveys are conducted in all EU member states at times, occasionally reducing or enlarging the scope of countries as a function of specific topics. The typical sample size is 500-1000 respondents per country and interviews are usually conducted by phone in the respective national language. The Flash Eurobarometer include series on special topics (Common Currency, EU Enlargement, Information Society, Entrepreneurship, Innovation) as well as special target group polls, particularly company managers with enterprise related topics.
