AbstractJudgement on parties and politicians, behavior at the polls and political attitudes. Topics: political interest and most important political event in the past year; preferred federal chancellor (rank order procedure); image of the candidates for Federal Chancellor Brandt and Barzel (semantic differential); issue competence of the parties; good and bad sides of the parties; party preference (ballot procedure and rank order procedure); sympathy scale for SPD, CDU/CSU, FDP, NPD and DKP; party identification; party inclination of close persons; most important tasks of the Federal Republic; attitude to voting and to political participation (scale); understanding of democracy (scale); self-assessment of social class and assignment of social class of parents; political discussions in parental home; party sympathies of parents and of spouse; job satisfaction and political discussions at work; politicians and parties judged positively or negatively by colleagues; personal change in party voted for and parties voted for in Federal Parliament elections up to now; personal intent to participate in the election, differentiated according to Federal Parliament election, state parliament election and municipal election; behavior at the polls in the last Federal Parliament election; splitting; party sympathy of reference person; importance of removal of environmental pollution; importance of price stability (even at the cost of jobs) and securing peace through negotiations with the Soviet Union, as well as issue competence of the parties and politicians in these areas; judgement on economic development, on one´s own economic situation and on one´s own income development in the next few years; reasons for the expected economic development; self-image of respondent (semantic differential). Demography: age; sex; marital status; school education; vocational training; further education; employment; professional career; self-assessment of social class; social origins. Interviewer rating: date of interview; interest of respondent in the interview.
