Judgement on parties and politicians as well as political attitudes: judgement on current economic situation in the Federal Republic and further development; political interest; most important political tasks in the Federal Republic; satisfaction with the government coalition and opposition; judgement on the economic successes by the new Federal Government (scale); attitude to political measures as well as changes to laws to change the economic difficulties, planned or now being conducted; party preference (ballot procedure); personal change in party voted for since 1949; behavior at the polls in the last Federal Parliament election; sympathy scale for the parties; issue relevance and issue ability of the parties. 2. Questions on peace policies and European unification: prospects for a lasting peace in Europe and assessment of the military threat from the East; perceived threat from both great powers; judgement on the role of NATO for peace; attitude to the peace movement; characteristics of a desirable society (scale); interest in the events in neighboring European countries and personal identification with the term European; attitude to a hypothetical dissolution of the EC; judgement on development of friendly relations between the Western European countries; most important goals of a European unification; attitude to an expansion of the influence of the EC on world politics; preference for independent EC policies or partnership with the USA; contribution of the EC to securing of peace; judgement on the job of the European Parliament; behavior at the polls in the European Election 1979 and current party preference for a European Election (Sunday question); attitude to membership of the Federal Republic in the EC as well as most important advantages and disadvantages of this membership; judgement on the influence of other countries of the EC on life in the Federal Republic; attitude to support of poorer member countries by the Federal Republic; consideration of the German language in the EC; EC and reunification of Germany; attitude to a European Government; the party that has done the most for Europe; nations of the European Community most strongly representing the interests of the European idea; increase or decrease of agreement between nations in the last year; perceived tensions through increasing economic difficulties in Europe; assignment of decision-making responsibility to national or European level; attitude to membership of Turkey in the EC; most important political tasks of the European Community; attitude to increased influence of the EC on environmental polluters. 3.
