AbstractDistribution of work and decision functions in farming families. Topics: 1. The questionnaire for the male spouse concentrated on the agricultural company: specialization, size and general characteristics of of the agricultural company; information on equipment; number, degree of relationship and main deployment areas of employees of the company; intended change of company size; optimum age for transfer of the farm to the successor; attitude to employment of women outside of one´s own company; self-assessment of degree of modernity of one´s own company; attitude to modern production methods and so-called agricultural advisers; membership in agricultural organizations and participation in meetings; primary criteria for one´s own decision for the occupation as farmer; attending technical further education events and reading technical literature; conduct with differences of opinion with spouse; judgement on the economic situation (Katona questions); contentment with life. 2. The survey of the female spouses refers primarily to questions on family, housekeeping and decision behavior in one´s family: friendships and contacts with friends; neighborhood help; extent of self-produced food; use of menus and cashbook in budgeting; going to the movies and frequency of watching television; attending dance events; vacations together with spouse; reading newspapers, magazines and books; help of husband with selected housework; importance of areas of life; detailed determination of decision-making responsibility in certain situations; social origins; distance from parents and frequency of contact; inheritances; support of parents and parents-in-law; help with work in the fields; memberships; marital satisfaction; decision structure in parental family; use of an additional income; religiousness; local residency; desired number of children. Demography: possession of durable economic goods; housing situation; regional origins; refugee status; age (classified); school education; marital status; number of children; occupation; religious denomination; sex. Interviewer rating: willingness of respondent to cooperate; number of contact attempts; condition of residence.
