NotesBusinesses planning or not anticipating a quality system at the time of survey were surveyed in a modified or reduced manner. The study is part of an omnibus survey. The Flash Eurobarometers are short interviews introduced between the semi-annual Eurobarometers and addressing current European topics. Further Flash Eurobarometers are archived under ZA Study Nos. 2330, 2362 to 2365 as well as 2401, 2402, 2457, 2458, 2470 and 2471. The total number of respondents of the data set is distributed among the individual countries as follows: Belgium 492 cases, Denmark 414 cases, Federal Republic of Germany 401 cases, Greece 400 cases, Spain 400 cases, France 401 cases, Ireland 408 cases, Italy 409 cases, Luxembourg 201 cases, Netherlands 406 cases, Portugal 400 cases, United Kingdom 402 cases. A cumulated data set of the semi-annual Eurobarometers (1973-1992) is archived under ZA Study No. 2533.

  •  EB - Flash Eurobarometer
    The Flash Eurobarometer were launched by the European Commission in the late eighties, turning out a Monthly Monitor between in 1994 and 1995. These “small scale” surveys are conducted in all EU member states at times, occasionally reducing or enlarging the scope of countries as a function of specific topics. The typical sample size is 500-1000 respondents per country and interviews are usually conducted by phone in the respective national language. The Flash Eurobarometer include series on special topics (Common Currency, EU Enlargement, Information Society, Entrepreneurship, Innovation) as well as special target group polls, particularly company managers with enterprise related topics.
