AbstractDescription of one´s own working and living conditions. Perception of one´s own countrymen and third-party image of guest workers in the FRG. Attitude to integration of foreigners. Topics: detailed description of housing situation; foreign co-residents in building; satisfaction with housing situation; importance of areas of life; characterization of actual situation in life; general contentment with life; self-image of the Germans and third-party image of foreign workers; length of company employment; contacts with colleagues of different nationalities; number of colleagues of the same nationality at work; characterization of working conditions and occupational prospects of advancement; self-assessment of occupational mobility in the last 5 years; most important aspects of an ideal occupation and general work satisfaction (scales); weekly working hours; social distance to foreign workers (scale adapted from BOGARDUS); attitude to workers of foreign or other nationality (scale); judgement on contacts with authorities; social contacts in the neighborhood with Germans and foreign co-residents; desire for more contacts with foreign workers; personal opinion leadership; concepts of the future development of the FRG.
