AbstractPolitical attitudes to questions of domestic policy. Topics: satisfaction with democracy in the Federal Republic; party preference; behavior at the polls in the last Federal Parliament election; trust in public institutions (scale); assessment of the importance of selected Federal Offices (scale); intent to participate in selected forms of political protest and militant actions; understanding for the use of force and damage to property in political protests; concepts of an ideal society (scale); issue relevance; personal experiences with authorities; attitude to the view of the state into the private sphere; attitude to the right to vote for foreigners; attitude to making it easier to acquire German citizenship by foreigners; contacts with foreigners at place of residence or at work; expected willingness to adapt of foreigners who want to obtain German citizenship; attitude to a reduction in the number of foreign workers; attitude to the right to asylum and a limited admission of politically persecuted; assessment of the AIDS danger; attitude to regular compulsory check-ups to determine the presence of AIDS infection; attitude to a compulsory registration by name for AIDS-infected by doctors; attitude to an encoded compulsory registration; refusing admission or deporting AIDS-infected foreigners; perceived pride at the National Anthem and Federal Flag; judgement on the playing of the National Anthem at the end of the broadcast day; most significant achievements of the Germans; preferred type of television sports; intent to watch television in connection with reporting on the Olympic Games; importance of Germans winning medals; membership in a sport club; extent of one´s own athletic activities; judgement on support of top-class sport by the government; personal perception of German top-class sportsmen as representatives of the country; postmaterialism index; self-assessment on a left-right continuum; preference for reduction in working hours or higher earnings; perceived increase in acts of violence at demonstrations. Demography: year of birth and month of birth; sex; marital status; living together with a partner; religious denomination; frequency of church attendance; school degree achieved and sought; vocational training; college degree; occupational position; employment; journeymen´s test; activity in the civil service; military rank; number of persons 18 years old and older in household; respondent is head of household; characteristics of head of household; union memberships in household; party inclination and strength of party inclination.
