AbstractJudgement on questions of municipal policies a few days before the municipal election in Frankfurt. Topics: most important problems of the city; intent to participate in the election and party preference; behavior at the polls in the last municipal election; sympathy scale for selected parties and politicians at federal and municipal level; satisfaction with the achievements of federal and state government as well as municipal authorities in Frankfurt; order of preferred parties; attitude to an absolute majority of one party in the city council; coalition preference; mayor preference; issue competence of the two major parties in economic questions, housing policy, culture policy and policies towards foreigners; comparison of the economic situation of the city with the rest of the federal territory; attitude to admission of ethnic Germans from Eastern Europe as well as admission of politically persecuted asylum-seekers; attitude to foreigners in Frankfurt and the right for foreigners to vote in municipal elections; contacts with foreigners; left-right orientation; significance of the municipal election for the future of the city; assumed election winner; attitude to the Republicans; knowledge of instances of bribery in the Frankfurt city government as well as party impacted; job security; living together with a partner; completed government examination or diploma or completed journeymen´s test; civil service career as well as service rank for soldiers; union membership; religiousness.
