AbstractAttitude to political and economic questions. Judgement on parties and politicians in view of the next Federal Parliament election. The significance of candidates for chancellor. Topics: most important political events of the past; ability of the parties to solve problems; party preference (ballot procedure); most important political task in the state and party with the greatest ability to solve this at state level; behavior at the polls in the last Federal Parliament election (first vote and second vote); satisfaction with government and opposition; judgement on the economic situation in the FRG as well as its development; expected price development and income development; current and earlier savings habits; assessment of the development of the standard of living; personal impact of unemployment; assessment of the general economic situation as crisis and judgement on its significance; personal impact of the economic crisis; parties as representation of interests of selected social groups; agreement of one´s own political opinion with selected politicians and assessment of the agreement of these politicians with their parties (scale); interest in politics; party inclination; comparison of the two candidates for chancellor Kohl and Schmidt regarding their representation of interests for selected social groups; preference for federal chancellor; assessment of the victory chances of the two candidates for chancellor; image of the candidates for chancellor (semantic differentials); coalition preference; self-assessment of social class; candidates for chancellor or party as most important criterion for one´s own voting decision; trust in selected government and democratic institutions as well as information on changes in trust in these institutions; satisfaction with the political situation in the country; ability of the candidates for chancellor; party with the better government team; most important political tasks; solution recommendations for the most important tasks; most important election campaign news; significance of the election campaign.
