Abstract

Attitude to problems of international policy and above all the policies of the superpowers. Topics: Judgement on one´s own economic situation; knowledge of space flight projects and attitude to them; attitude to atomic energy, selected countries and politicians in east and west; characterization of the USA and the Soviet Union; assessment of the danger of war and the efforts of the superpowers to prevent a world war; desired political orientation of the FRG; attitude to NATO, a disarmament treaty and admission of China into the UN; evaluation of freedom of movement in the countries of Eastern Europe and the seriousness of the American and Soviet efforts to outlaw nuclear weapons; assessment of the danger of a war between the USA and China and between China and Formosa; party preference; membership in a trade union. Demography: age (classified); sex; marital status; school education; occupation; household income; head of household; state. Interviewer rating: social class and willingness of respondent to cooperate; number of contact attempts; date of interview.
