Abstract
Political attitudes and views about a European defense community. Topics: Most important tasks of the Federal Government; comparison of the success of the communist powers and the western powers; desired political orientation of the FRG; participation of the FRG in the defense of Western Europe in the framework an EVG (European Defense Community); expected influence of the negative stand of France and the unsuccessful EVG plans on the position of the western powers regarding the communist powers and reunification of Germany; satisfaction with Federal Chancellor Adenauer; attitude to England, France, Russia and America; personal trips to the USA; knowledge of persons working for an American employer; honorary activities and participation in meetings; membership in a club, trade union or party; party preference. Demography: age (classified); marital status; school education; occupation; income; head of household; state. Interviewer rating: social class and willingness of respondent to cooperate; number of contact attempts; city size.
