AbstractJudgement on parties, election campaign, candidates for chancellor and other politicians in the Federal Parliament election. Topics: political interest; good and bad sides of the election campaign; judgement on the conduct of parties and politicians in the election campaign; image of Brandt and Barzel (semantic differential); personal election participation and reasons for not voting; behavior at the polls (first vote and second vote with ballot procedure); party preference (rank order procedure); sympathy scale for the SPD, CDU/CSU, FDP, NPD and DKP; time of personal voting decision; most important tasks of the Federal Republic; issue competence of the parties; trust in government and state (scale); strength of one´s own party identification; personal change in party voted for; judgement on the economic situation and economic development in the next few years; importance of price stability and Ostpolitik as well as issue competence of the politicians and parties in this area; judgement on the performance of the top politicians in the televsion debate (semantic differential and rank order procedure); knowledge about the significance of first and second votes; date of birth. Demography: age; sex; marital status; size of household. Interviewer rating: interest of respondent in interview; date of interview.
