AbstractPolitical attitude of voters in Hesse and their judgement on parties and politicians. Topics: Besides the common part described in study 1244 the following further questions were posed: satisfaction with achievements of the individual coalition partners SPD and FDP; satisfaction with the achievements of the opposition; attitudes to an absolute majority of SPD or CDU; preferred government coalition; attitudes to expansion of nuclear energy, foregoing the west runway, a freeze on the influx of foreigners, the stationing of missiles in the FRG, construction of a reprocessing plant for spent nuclear fuels in Hesse as well as significance of these issues for one´s own voting decision; attitude to the intended coalition change of the FDP; intent to participate in the election, behavior at the polls and voting decision in case of a Federal Parliament election next Sunday; behavior at the polls in the Federal Parliament election 1980; attitude to a coalition change of the FDP in Bonn. Demography: age; sex; marital status; religious denomination; school education; occupational training; employment; household size; respondent is head of household; characteristics of head of household; union membership. Interviewer rating: district code.

These studies were conducted for the most part as representative surveys in the run-up to elections of the Landtage, the Bremer Bürgerschaft or the Berliner Abgeordnetenhaus.
