Topics: most important political topics; expected economic situation and expected development of personal living conditions; greatest problems in Germany; federal chancellor preference; most able party in the Federal Republic; behavior at the polls in the last Federal Parliament election and state parliament election; party preference at state and Federal level (Sunday question); party inclination and party identification; interest in politics; satisfaction with democracy; satisfaction with the job of the Federal Government and the opposition; self-assessment on a left-right continuum; sympathy scale for the CDU, CSU, SPD, PDS, Alliance 90/the Greens, FDP, Republicans; media use (newspaper and TV news). Demography: sex; year of birth; marital status; living together with a partner; employment; professional position; occupational training; school education; household size; members of the household under 14 years old and their year of birth; religious affiliation; frequency of church attendance; union membership; party membership; citizenship; monthly net income. Also encoded was: state; city size; date of interview; weekday of interview.
