2013-8-22MIP data for the Netherlands (V015 to V028, V275 to V319)The MIP (Most Important Problems) data for the Netherlands are not available in the integrated EES 2004 dataset (V015 to V027 and V275 to V319) or the data are not documented for the Netherlands (V028).
2014-1-20Employment Status (V222)The response categories of the variable "Employment Status" could not be harmonized for all countries. Country specific categories apply for Great Britain, Italy, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Poland as documented in APPENDIX 9 of the codebook (ZA4566_cod.pdf). The frequency distribution for Belgium suggests that the common categories are applied, even though country specific categories are specified in APPENDIX 9. For Latvia, Luxembourg, and Spain additional categories were added to common categories. In the case of France, Germany and Belgium the "self-employed" (category ‘1’) and "employed" responses are merged into category ‘2’ (in APPENDIX 9 only documented for France). The derived categories for Sweden are not documented.
2014-3-12Political Parties for Great Britain (V029, V112, V113, V114)Party codes for Great Britain are shifted. Contrary to the codebook documentation (APPENDIX 2: POLITICAL PARTIES,COUNTRY SPECIFIC CODES, BRITAIN) Party 4 should read "Scottish National Party" (only in Scotland), Party 5 should read "Plaid Cymru" (only in Wales) and party 6 should read "UK Independence Party". For adapting British data to the codebook documentation recode as follows: if (country eq 3 and v029 eq 6)v029=4. if (country eq 3 and v029 eq 4)v029=5. if (country eq 3 and v029 eq 5)v029=6. if (country eq 3 and v112 eq 6)v112=4. if (country eq 3 and v112 eq 4)v112=5. if (country eq 3 and v112 eq 5)v112=6. if (country eq 3 and v113 eq 6)v113=4. if (country eq 3 and v113 eq 4)v113=5. if (country eq 3 and v113 eq 5)v113=6. if (country eq 3 and v114 eq 6)v114=4. if (country eq 3 and v114 eq 4)v114=5. if (country eq 3 and v114 eq 5)v114=6.
