2011-5-9The variable "Beschäftigungssektor, damalig/früher" (“occupational sector, previous”) was named a45 in the questionnaire. This is incorrect. The correct name is a40a which is also the name given in the data set.

Values for answer category 11 “+5 äußerst wünschenswert“ (“+5 very preferable”) of variable A16j had been erroneously saved in variable A16h. For a more detailed problem description and hints on handling the respective variables see the method report.--
2010-7-12Matching the variables v_02 ("Alter", “age”) and A51 ("Geburtsjahr", “year of birth”) revealed 17 cases with high deviations between stated age group and year of birth. These cases have been flagged in the variable probalt.--

  •  German Longitudinal Election Study (GLES)
    The German Longitudinal Election Study (GLES) is a DFG-funded project which made its debut just prior to the 2009 federal election. GLES is the largest and most ambitious election study held so far in Germany. Although the initial mandate is to examine and analyse the electorate for three consecutive elections, the aspired goal is to integrate the project within GESIS as an institutionalized election study after the federal election of 2017, and hence to make it a permanent study.
